CMCG has been involved in the security business for many years. Our security team is directly responsible for managing and maintaining maximum, high, medium, low and minimum security level prisons 24 hours, 7 days a week while employed by the Federal and State Department of Corrections where security is paramount to staff and inmate safety, inmate accountability and protecting the public from violent offenders.
Chief Security Officer
Steve Jenkins joined CMCG in 2009 as the Chief Security Officer. In this role he develops strategies that lead to enhanced security, effective communications and solutions for a safe environment within law enforcement and correctional environments. Mr. Jenkins has 20 years of correctional experience, where he began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a correctional officer. He continued to rise through the ranks to the position of correctional supervisor and chief correctional supervisor. In his role as chief correctional supervisor, he supervised the largest federal correctional complex in the country encompassing five correctional facilities, including two federal penitentiaries. As the first complex chief correctional supervisor, Mr. Jenkins was instrumental in the consolidation of four different correctional services into a single, more efficient and cohesive department.
Mr. Jenkins has served the community as a counselor and mentor to juveniles placed by the courts in group homes. In this role, he taught various life skills to assist young offenders. He attended California State University, Long Beach, CA and majored in criminal justice.</p
