Bruce Pearson has over 25 years of correctional and law enforcement experience. He is a retired Senior Executive Services Warden with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After managing in the private industrial sector with Russell Athletics Inc. Sylacauga, Alabama for more than five years, he began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prison, Prison Industries program, FPI also known as UNICOR.

Mr. Pearson held a number of management and leadership positions within the Bureau of Prisons and FPI, to include, Quality Assurance Specialist at the United States Penitentiary Terre Haute IN, Quality Assurance Manager at the Federal Correctional Institution Three Rivers TX, Associate Warden at the Federal Correctional Institution Yazoo City MS, Deputy Assistant Director of Industries Education and Vocational Training Central Office Washington DC, and Warden at the Federal Correctional Complex Coleman FL, the Federal Correctional Institution Memphis TN and the Federal Correctional Complex Yazoo City MS..

  • Mr. Pearson has over 10 years of executive management experience and was the Chief Executive Officer at the second largest Federal Correctional Complex in the Southeast Region. He enjoys mentoring and developing staff to prepare them for executive level positions within the agency.
  • While serving as Deputy Assistant Director Industries and Education and Vocational Tech. Mr. Pearson was directly responsible for four of the eight Corporate Industrial Business groups: Textiles, Electronics, Services and Fleet Management/Vehicle Component Repair.
  • He also had responsibility for the Corporate Financial department, Corporate Marketing, Corporate Procurement, the Education Branch, the Volunteer Branch and the Inmate Placement Branch. His oversight included more than 35 prison factories, 6,000 staffs, and10,000 offenders employees.

Mr. Pearson is a lifetime member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ). He has received numerous awards in his career, most notable is the Director's award for Excellence in Equal Opportunity Employment/Affirmative Action in 1998, and the Regional Associate Warden of the year in 2000. Mr. Pearson is a graduate of N.F.Nunnelly Technical College of Childersburg AL. He is a military veteran who served honorably in the United States Army National Guard for 16 years. Mr. Pearson also graduated from the Dale Carnegie Corporate Leadership Seminar, and the National Institute of Correction (NIC's) Executive Excellence, Leadership Development and Strategic Leadership (DSL) courses in 2007.
